Do believers spend eternity floating on clouds?
No, believers do not spend eternity floating on clouds. Eternity will be spent in the eternal state, in light of Old Testament promises, with Christ ruling forever on the throne of David, and it involves a new heaven and a new earth, as Revelation 21 describes.
Les explains that eternity is not going to be spent just floating around on a cloud up there somewhere. Instead, it will be in light of all the Old Testament promises that the kingdom is going to be forever and forever, and Christ will be ruling on the throne of David, not for a thousand years, but forever. After the thousand years and the end of time as we understand it, Revelation 21 introduces a new heaven and a new earth. The old planet, plagued with the curse for 7,000 years, is evidently going to be removed. So the believer’s eternal destiny is tied to this new creation and Christ’s eternal reign.
