What does Les mean when he calls the Antichrist charismatic?
The term means the Antichrist will have a magnetic personality and the ability to manipulate people. He can enter summit meetings, command attention, and be listened to, enabling him to gain power to make a peace treaty with Israel in the Middle East. He is a political manipulator used by Satan, though still flesh and blood.
Les explains that the Antichrist will be an ordinary human being—born of woman, flesh and blood—but much like Judas, used by Satan to fulfill satanic aspirations. He will come on the scene as a tremendous political manipulator and a charismatic type individual. By charismatic, Les means he will have the ability to manipulate people and that kind of personality. He will be able to walk into almost any summit meeting and command their attention; they will listen to him. Consequently, he will bring himself to the place of making the peace treaty with Israel in the Middle East. By the time he gets back to his headquarters, which Les feels will be somewhere in Europe, other things will also be taking place at the opening days of the seven years, including the two witnesses in Jerusalem and permission to build the temple.
