What is the book of Revelation about according to this teaching?
The book of Revelation concerns the unfolding of the final seven years of God's dealings with the human race, especially with the nation of Israel. This period is Daniel's seventieth week, the last seven of Israel's 490-year prophecy, beginning with the Antichrist's appearance and a seven-year treaty with Israel.
Les teaches that once the Body of Christ is finished and the last one is brought in, there will be an outcalling of those alive and remaining by a change from this body to the new glorified body, and those who died in Christ will be resurrected with their new body. Then God picks up where He left off with Israel. This is Daniel's 70th week, the final seven years of Israel's original 490-year prophecy from Daniel chapter 9. Only 483 years were fulfilled by Christ's crucifixion, leaving seven unfulfilled. Since the church age was sandwiched in between, God can now bring about that final seven-year period. Les explains that the whole book of Revelation is about the unfolding of these final seven years of God's dealing with the human race in general, but in particular with the nation of Israel. Its opening event will be the appearance of the Antichrist, who will sign a seven-year treaty with Israel. Les notes confusion about the treaty between Israel and the Palestinians, as some think this is the peace treaty.
