Who were the two exceptions who did not die and went to paradise?

The two exceptions were Enoch and Elijah. They did not die and descend into paradise; instead they went up as God's exceptions. Other Old Testament believers went down to paradise because Christ's atoning blood had not yet removed sin.

Les explains that before the cross, all people from Adam onward lived and died, and even believers, with two exceptions, went down into paradise. He stresses that God is God and can make His exceptions. The two who did not die and go down into paradise were Enoch and Elijah; they went up. Other than that, all Old Testament believers could not go to heaven. They had to go down to paradise because the atoning blood of Christ is the only thing that would remove the stain of sin. Animals' blood couldn't take it away, so these Old Testament believers were saved for eternity but not ready for God's presence because their sins had not been atoned for by the blood of Christ, so they went down to paradise. The lost from all ages go down into hell, into the torment side. When the thief was told, 'Today thou shalt be with me in paradise,' Christ was speaking of the centermost part of the earth, as He said He would be three days and three nights in the center of the earth. Paul puts his stamp of approval on all this.
