Why is all of creation waiting?
Creation waits because it was subjected to vanity and the curse through Adam's sin, not willingly, but by God, who subjected it in hope and promised a time of restoration. It looks for the day the curse is lifted and God's people are manifested in renown.
Les teaches that creation was made subject to vanity, which is the curse, yet it did not willingly participate in Adam's sin. God immediately came back and promised the time of restoration, so all of creation is constantly looking for the day when the curse will finally be lifted. Les connects this waiting to the future seven years and Matthew 24's days of travail, explaining that the travail is connected with delivery—the delivery of the planet from the curse. Creation is waiting for that day of redemption and for the manifestation, when believers are put in the spotlight and come into a place of renown.
