Why will the seven-year tribulation on earth not be a literal seven-year wait for believers in eternity?
Believers will not experience the tribulation as a seven-year wait because, once raptured and given new bodies, they step out of time into eternity. Though seven literal years unfold on earth, eternity makes time irrelevant, allowing the Lord to deal personally with every believer from the church age for reward.
Les teaches that when the church is raptured, believers meet Christ in the air and go back with Him into heaven while the seven years of tribulation rage on earth. As soon as they are raptured and receive new bodies, they step out of time and into eternity. Therefore, although seven distinct years unfold on earth, that seven years multiplies into all the time in the world because they are out of time. Les stresses that the Lord could never deal with every individual believer from the beginning of the church age until the end in only seven years; it would be impossible in that frame. But since eternity makes time irrelevant, each believer can have specific, personal, quality time before the Lord for reward. Les admits he cannot explain how, but he knows time is irrelevant once they step into eternity.
