Where will believers be judged for their works?
Believers will be judged for their works at the judgment seat of Christ, called the Bema seat, as Paul lays out in II Corinthians chapter 5. This is not the great white throne. No believer’s sin will be reviewed there, because all sin was judged at the cross; only works are examined.
Les explains that Revelation 20’s great white throne is for every unbeliever of all the ages, and no believers will be there. So he returns to II Corinthians chapter 5 to show that church age believers will stand before Christ to give an account of their deeds and works. He calls this the judgment seat, or Bema seat. Les emphasizes that no believer’s sin will be presented there; sin was paid for and judged on Christ at the cross. It is strictly a review of the believer’s works, not a dealing with sin.
