What books are opened at the great white throne judgment?

At the great white throne, the books are opened, and another book is opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead — the lost from Cain to the end of the thousand-year reign — are judged out of those things written in the books, according to their works.

Les returns to Revelation chapter 20, verse 12, to describe this scene. As the great white throne is set somewhere out in space, the dead, small and great, stand before God. Then the books are opened, and another book is opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead, that is the lost all the way back to Cain up until the end of the thousand-year reign, are judged out of those things written in the books, according to their works. So the basis of this judgment is what is recorded in the books — their works — while the Book of Life is named separately as the other book that is opened. Les points out that those standing here are the lost of all the ages who were not in the first resurrection, and they are judged according to what was written concerning their works.

Revelation 20:12

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
