Les Feldick Bible Study

When will the land promised to Abraham become the homeland of Israel?

That territory, given as a title deed to Abraham, will become Israel's homeland when Christ sets up His kingdom. It will not be fulfilled before then. At that time the twelve apostles will sit under Christ's throne in Jerusalem, ruling the twelve tribes.

Les explains that all the Middle East territory inhabited by these tribes was given as a title deed to Abraham. He stresses that it will not become fulfilled until Christ sets up the kingdom; at that point it will be the homeland of Israel. Les also points out that the twelve apostles will sit under Christ's throne at Jerusalem, ruling the twelve tribes. He contrasts this earthly kingdom with Paul's teaching that believers' citizenship is now in heaven; when Christ returns with His kingdom, believers will be with Him.
