When is the regeneration that Jesus spoke about?
The regeneration Jesus spoke of is the future time when the Kingdom comes, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, and the curse is lifted. Then the earth will be made like it was in the beginning—regenerated and restored.
Les explains that Jesus was speaking to the eleven about the regeneration, a word many people slip over without understanding. Using the illustration of a dead car battery, Les says that just as a generator restores a battery to its original condition, the word means the earth will one day be made like it was in the beginning—regenerated and restored. This refers to the Kingdom, when the curse is lifted and the Son of Man, the Christ, sits on the throne of His glory. Jesus told the twelve (or eleven) that they also would sit on twelve thrones, ruling the twelve tribes. Les notes that all of this rests on the Abrahamic covenant, and he connects it to Genesis 15, Israel's title deed.
