What did Allis admit about the early Church writings?
Allis admitted that the early Church writings contained nothing but the concept of the millennium. He acknowledged that for roughly 250 years, especially from the apostles onward, the early believers held to a millennial expectation, with no other eschatological view present in those writings.
Les explains that another great proponent of a millennial position, A.L.L.I.S., also admitted that in the early Church writings there was nothing but the concept of the millennium. Les then asks what happened, noting that for 250 years, especially from the apostles, the Twelve looked for the Kingdom. He points to Acts chapter 1, where the Lord, after His resurrection, spent 40 days with the apostles speaking of things pertaining to the kingdom (Acts 1:3). Les emphasizes that the Kingdom is the Kingdom, on man's mind since the dawn of human history, when the earth would be regenerated, the curse lifted, and it would be the utopia everyone has been looking for.
