What do some people believe about Paul's writings?

Some people believe Paul's writings do not belong in the Bible, question whether anything he writes can be believed, and dismiss him as too far out to pay attention to. Though most of Christendom draws basic doctrine from Paul, many still refuse to give him credit.

Les explains that most of Christendom gets its basic doctrine from Paul's writings, yet many never give him the credit. He tells of people whose Sunday school teacher or preacher detested Paul's writings and could not see why they are in the Bible. A lady in his Oklahoma class later heard someone say you cannot believe anything Paul writes and that he should not even be in the Bible. Les says that is stronger than most, but it reflects a subconscious feeling among many: Paul is so far out, do not pay attention to him. Yet realizing what this Apostle says is foundational to salvation and Christian experience.
