Did the earliest Christians all believe the same millennial-kingdom premise?
Yes. Even in the very early days of Christianity, they all held to this millennial-kingdom premise, according to the transcript. The later opposition, called Amillennialism, arose afterward and stands contrary to that early consensus. The next program was to provide names and further evidence for this claim.
Les explains that the teaching he has been presenting concerning the Kingdom and the Book of Revelation was not novel. He says we can rest assuredly that even in the very early days of Christianity, they all held to this premise. He notes that opposition to this line of teaching is called Amillennialism, and he plans to explain in the next program how it came about and to give names and so forth. He also mentions that some people in his classes and mail are being handed books totally in opposition to what he has been teaching about the Kingdom and the Book of Revelation.
