Who will be in control during the Millennial Kingdom?
During the Millennial Kingdom, Christ will be in total control. Scripture describes it as a perfectly perfect rule and government, with no death, sickness, curse, or Satan. The earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea, and there will be no hurting or destroying in His holy mountain.
Les explains that after the tribulation, only a small percentage survives. The believing sheep of Matthew 25 enter the Kingdom and become the parents of the children seen in Isaiah 11. He teaches that in that Kingdom there will be no death, sickness, curse, or Satan, and Christ will be in total control—a perfectly perfect rule and government—resulting in a tremendous population explosion. Isaiah 11:9 adds that they will not hurt or destroy in all His holy mountain, because the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Les notes that a mountain in the Old Testament especially represents a Kingdom, and he points to Amos 9 as one of many further references to this earthly Kingdom.
