What is the spiritual analogy of harvesting after the first fruits are taken?

After the first fruits are taken out, the spiritual analogy is that the main field is harvested, except for the corners and gleanings left for the poor. This main harvest represents the vast majority—about 98%—of the crop, following the initial first fruits.

Les teaches that the literal harvest analogy involves a 40-acre field of barley where the ripened stems are gathered into a sheaf and presented as first fruits. Christ's resurrection and those who came out of the grave make up the first fruits of the spiritual harvest. Then, per Leviticus 19:9, the reaper is not to completely reap the corners or gather gleanings, leaving them for the poor. While there was a physical need, the spiritual analogy is that after the first fruits are taken out, the main field is harvested, except for the corners and gleanings. This main harvest is about 98% of the total.

Leviticus 19:9

And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.
