Les Feldick teaches that the revived Roman Empire will begin as a consortium of ten Western European nations. Three of the smaller nations will be absorbed into the other seven, so the original ten become seven. Then the Antichrist, Daniel's 'little horn,' will arise from those seven and eventually take over as the eighth ruler.
Daniel 7:7-8 — Daniel describes the fourth beast with ten horns and the little horn that rises after three of the first horns are plucked up by the roots.
Daniel 2:41 — The ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's image represent the final divided kingdom that Les Feldick identifies as the ten nations of the revived Roman Empire.
The prophet Daniel was given two complementary pictures of the final Gentile empire. In Daniel 2, the image seen by Nebuchadnezzar has feet and toes made of iron and clay. Daniel records the interpretation: "And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay" (Daniel 2:41). In Daniel 7, the fourth beast is shown with ten horns: "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns" (Daniel 7:7). Then Daniel sees a little horn rise: "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things" (Daniel 7:8). The same language appears in Revelation, where John writes: "And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast" (Revelation 17:12).
Les Feldick identifies the ten horns of Daniel 7 and the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's vision as the ten nations that will form the revived Roman Empire. He connects this to the European Community in Western Europe, pointing out that the number of member nations has varied but will drop back to ten by the time the Antichrist appears. This verse reinforces the biblical picture of ten kings/nations in the end-time empire, which Les says matches Daniel's ten horns.
Les Feldick teaches it will be ten nations, matching Daniel's ten horns and Nebuchadnezzar's ten toes. Even though the European Community has more than ten members today, he says it will drop back to ten by the time the Antichrist appears.
They will lose their national sovereignty and be absorbed into the other seven nations. Their leaders may remain in the picture, but the nations themselves will no longer be separate, taking the number from ten down to seven.
