Isaiah 2:2-4 states that the mountain of the Lord's house will be established over all other kingdoms, that all nations will stream to Zion to learn God's ways, and that the Lord will judge among the nations, causing them to beat swords into plowshares. Isaiah 2:1-4 begins with the word that Isaiah saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. It says that in the last days the mountain of the LORD's house will be established in the top of the mountains and exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow into it. Many people will say, "Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." Isaiah further declares that the LORD will judge among the nations and rebuke many people. As a result, swords and spears will be beaten into plowshares and pruninghooks, nation will not lift up sword against nation, and people will not learn war any more. The Bible also connects this coming kingdom to the promise of a ruler on David's throne: "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever" (Isaiah 9:7).
Les Feldick teaches that the "last days" in Isaiah 2 are the final thousand years — the seventh thousand — the last days of Israel's prophetic program. He emphasizes this is the time when Israel's King will come and set up the promised kingdom, not the same as the church's last days. He says the "mountain of the Lord's house" is the kingdom, established in the top of the mountains, meaning it will be the highest kingdom over all previous nations and empires. All nations — Gentile nations — will flow to Jerusalem like metal drawn to a magnet. Les also connects Isaiah 2 to the Davidic promise that David's throne and kingdom would be established forever. David's Kingdom Established Forever
