The kingdom comes as a result of the Abrahamic covenant. It will be over the nation of Israel when they are in their promised land, and their Messiah—who must be of the lineage of David—will be their King. Les says that whenever you see the word 'kingdom' in Scripture, unless the text definitely shows otherwise, it refers to this same kingdom.
