Eve was created from Adam so that Adam could remain the federal head of the human race and so that Eve could become his complement.
The Genesis account shows that God brought Eve out of Adam after Adam had been alone and no help meet had been found for him. Les Feldick teaches that Eve was in Adam from the beginning, which made Adam the head of the whole human race and meant that only one Redeemer was needed.
Genesis 2:21-22 — These verses record the actual creation of woman from Adam's rib, directly answering how and why Eve was created.
Genesis 5:2 — This verse summarizes that God called both male and female by the name Adam, connecting Eve to Adam's line.
In Genesis 2:18 the LORD God says, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.' After Adam named every animal, the Scripture records, 'but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him' (Genesis 2:20). Genesis 2:21-22 then says that God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, took one of his ribs, made a woman, and brought her to the man. Adam responded, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man' (Genesis 2:23). Later, Genesis 5:2 summarizes the creation by saying God 'created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam.' The first time the name Eve is used is after the Fall, when Adam called his wife's name Eve 'because she was the mother of all living' (Genesis 3:20).
Les Feldick teaches that the significance of Eve's creation from Adam is that Eve was, in a sense, already inside Adam from the very beginning. He says 'Eve was in Adam' (Clip 2) and that Adam, as first created, actually contained the woman (Clip 4). For Les, this is essential because Adam is the federal head of the whole human race. Since Eve came out of Adam, everyone, including Eve, would come from Adam's line. Therefore, even though Eve ate first, the human race did not come under sin by virtue of Eve; sin came through Adam (Clip 1). Les also connects this to redemption: because Adam is the federal head, there was only a need for one Redeemer (Clip 5). Les also points out that Eve was not called Eve at first; she was simply called 'the woman' until later (Clips 2, 3, 4, 7). When God brought her out of Adam, she became Adam's complement, or help meet, so that Adam was no longer alone (Clips 6, 7).
Les says that for the earliest moments in the garden, Adam was alone and Eve was inside him. 'People don't like that concept,' he says, 'but that's what the Scripture teaches' (Clip 2). He repeats that Adam as first created actually contained the woman (Clip 4). The reason is that Adam had to be the federal head of the human race. If Eve had not been in Adam from the beginning, Adam could not be the head of the whole human race, and the human race would not have come under sin through Adam (Clips 1, 5).
The Bible shows that Adam was alone and no help meet was found for him among the animals (Genesis 2:20). God then made the woman from Adam's rib and brought her to him (Genesis 2:22). Les says that when Eve came out of Adam she became his complement; Adam was completed and no longer alone (Clip 6). He explains that the word help meet means complement (Clip 7).
In the Genesis account, before the Fall she was only referred to as 'the woman,' not as Eve (Clips 2, 3, 4, 7). Genesis 3:20 says that Adam called his wife's name Eve because she was the mother of all living. Les notes that she was not called Eve until after the Fall (Clip 3).

Les establishes that every animal had a mate, but Adam had no help meet, so God prepared to create Eve from Adam.
Eve Came Out of Adam for Federal Headship
Les teaches that Eve came out of Adam because Adam had to be the federal head of the human race, and sin entered through Adam, not Eve.

Les says the Scripture teaches that Eve was in Adam before she was brought out, and that she was called the woman, not Eve.

Les explains that after seeing all the animals with mates, Adam was alone, so God created Eve from Adam to complete him.
Woman Formed From Adam as Complement
Les teaches that the word help meet means complement, and that God formed the woman from Adam so that man and woman came into existence.
Genesis 1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
This verse shows that both male and female were part of God's original creation, even before Eve appears in the narrative.
Genesis 2:18: And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
This is the divine reason for creating woman: Adam needed a companion.
Genesis 2:20: And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
This confirms that none of the animals could supply what Adam needed.
Genesis 2:21: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
This verse describes how God took the material from Adam to create woman.
Genesis 2:22: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
This records the direct event of woman being built from man and presented to him.
Genesis 2:23: And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Adam's own words explain that woman was taken out of man.
Genesis 5:2: Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
This summary places both male and female under the single name Adam.
Genesis 3:20: And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
This is where the name Eve first appears, after the fall.
Les Feldick says yes. He teaches that Scripture indicates Eve was inside Adam and was not yet called Eve. God brought her out of Adam to be the woman and presented her to Adam.
Because Eve was in Adam, Adam is the federal head of the human race. Les explains that sin came on the whole human race through Adam, not through Eve, even though Eve ate first.
Les teaches that help meet means complement. Eve, taken from Adam, completed Adam so that he was no longer alone.
