Ultimately, Les says this final gathering at Armageddon is Satan's attempt to once and for all annihilate the Jewish people, but it will really end up as Satan's final war against Christ. He also connects the whole seven-year Tribulation to the metaphor of travail: the earth, cursed since Genesis 3, is being brought to the place of delivery through these birth-pain judgments.
