If the rapture precedes the second coming by seven years, how close are we to the rapture?

If the rapture precedes the second coming by seven years, and the second coming is associated with the fall of the year 2000 (the 70th Jubilee), then the rapture would be extremely close—within about seven years of this teaching. The context cautions against date-setting but says we are getting awfully close.

Les explains that according to Brother Jeffreys, by the end of the year 2000 it would be the 120th Jubilee since Adam, the 70th Jubilee since Joshua led Israel into Canaan, and the 40th Jubilee from the crucifixion. He notes these numbers are indicative of many things in Scripture and show how God's time frames fit together. He warns, however, not to tie ourselves to that date and say this is when the Lord will return, referring to His second coming, not the rapture. Yet if the rapture takes place seven years ahead of the second coming, as he believes, then we are getting awfully close.
