What does 'Come out of her, My people' mean?

It means God's people are to separate themselves from the ungodly, wicked world system, not being isolated from sinners but refusing to be of the world. As 2 Corinthians 6 teaches, believers are in the world yet not of it, called to come out from her sins and not share in them.

Les explains that 'Come out of her, My people' is a call for separation from the ungodly, wicked world. He directs us to 2 Corinthians chapter 6, where this whole concept of separating ourselves from the world is developed. Les points out that we are in the world but not of it; we cannot avoid dealing with immoral people because that is what the world is, and they are all around us. We are not isolated, but we are not to be of it. He also likens it to the days before the flood when God left the ark door open, and to the present time when God's grace will soon end and His wrath will come, so people must come into the ark of safety.

2 Corinthians 6:17
