What is the relationship of Christ's thousand-year reign to eternity?
Christ's thousand-year reign is the introduction to the eternal. It is a literal thousand years delineated in Revelation, after which the present planet, as known since Eden, will be destroyed. His kingdom then continues forever, for He shall reign forever and ever.
Les teaches that the thousand-year reign of Christ, which is delineated in Revelation as a thousand years, will simply be the introduction to the eternal. When the thousand years has run its course on the planet as we now know it back in the Garden of Eden situation, it too will be destroyed. Prior to that, Christ will set up His own glorious kingdom after the kingdoms of this world are obliterated like the dust of the summer threshing floor. His power will be absolute, total, and glorious. The kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.
