The 144,000 have been proclaiming that the King is coming for three and a half years. They have been out there literally screaming to the world that the King is coming. This period precedes the midpoint events when the Antichrist turns his wrath upon them.

They are proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, that the King is coming to the whole world. When the Antichrist realizes he cannot touch these, he will turn all of his wrath on these 144,000.
