What will the image of the beast be like according to Les?
The image of the beast will be animated by advanced technology, likely a biological computer combining electronic parts with living cells. It will function as the brainwork of future technology, able to think, speak, and give orders, and it will possess tremendous power.
Les explains that the false prophet receives power to give life to the image of the beast. He connects this to reports of Japanese technology developing a biological computer with living biological cells, not merely electronic parts. In his view, this hints that the image will be the brainwork of technology, able to think, speak, and issue orders with tremendous power. He also notes that modern electronic developments, such as televisions becoming both incoming and outgoing information centers, point toward the kind of setup this image will involve.
