Les Feldick Bible Study

Can people be near a radio or TV gospel broadcast and still not hear the gospel?

Yes. A person can be near a radio or television broadcast where the gospel is preached in truth and sincerity yet still not hear it. Physical presence does not guarantee spiritual hearing. The context states such people simply do not hear the gospel, even when it is clearly presented.

Les teaches that there are literally billions of people who have never heard the gospel, and he maintains that in every city where he teaches there are multitudes who have never heard it. He gives the illustration of people walking into a place of business where a preacher on radio or television is preaching the gospel in all of its truth and sincerity, yet they do not hear it. This shows that being physically near a gospel broadcast is not the same as hearing and receiving it. The context also notes that those who have heard the gospel, are convicted by the Holy Spirit, and then reject it are immediately blinded to the truth and embrace the Antichrist. But the radio or television example illustrates that many remain without hearing even when the message is present.
