What is 'the love of the truth' in 2 Thessalonians 2:10?

The love of the truth is the gospel—the truth of the gospel that Paul preached: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. It is not mere easy believism or simply acknowledging those facts.

Les teaches that 2 Thessalonians 2:10’s 'love of the truth' is the gospel. He connects Paul’s phrase to 1 Corinthians 15: the gospel Paul declared, which the Corinthians received and in which they stood, is that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Ephesians calls this the truth of the gospel. Les contrasts that with an easy believism—merely saying one believes Christ lived, died, and rose—because that is not what Scripture means by receiving the love of the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:10

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
