What will the rider of the red horse do?
The rider of the red horse will bring war on the earth. He will take peace from the earth so that people kill one another. His warfare is marked not by killing the enemy but by causing people to kill each other. The color red is associated with Russia.
Les explains that this event comes on the scene probably within the first month or so after the seven years have begun. The next horse is red, and because peace is absent, war follows—real war. The rider of the red horse is an individual or power entity who will bring war on the earth, take peace from the earth, and cause people to kill one another. Les emphasizes that this rider’s battleground is epitomized not by killing the enemy but by people killing each other. He then asks what great power on earth is associated with the color red and identifies it as Russia.
