How did Israel's fall lead to salvation for the Gentiles according to Romans 11?

Paul explains in Romans 11 that Israel’s fall was not permanent rejection; God set the nation aside for a time and turned to the Gentiles. Through that fall, salvation came to the Gentiles, fulfilling God’s purpose during Israel’s dispersion and interval.

Les teaches that Israel did not fall out of God’s program permanently. Rather, God set Israel aside for a period and turned to the Gentiles. Paul says plainly in Romans 11 that by Israel’s fall salvation has come to the Gentiles. Les pictures this as a parenthesis: the book of Acts covers about forty years up to A.D. 70, when Titus destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and the city, and Israel was sent into dispersion. After Israel is dispersed, there is a period totally out of a time frame. Old Testament prophecy concerned Israel, but always in a time frame; 490 years are determined upon Israel, with forty years here and forty years there.
