What did God do at around 2,000 B.C. in biblical history?

At approximately 2,000 B.C., God did something totally different by establishing one separate nation. He promised Abram, later called Abraham, that out of him would come a nation of people—Israel—descended through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, now commonly referred to as the Jews.

Les teaches that at 2,000 B.C., God did something totally different, still out of the mainstream of Adam. He pulled off one separate nation by promising Abram, later called Abraham, that out of him would come a nation of people, the nation of Israel, who would come by virtue of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, becoming the nation of Israel, now referred to as the Jews. Les explains that all through that Old Testament economy, it was predominantly Jew only with exceptions, because God is sovereign and can make His exceptions. Other than the exceptions, God was dealing with the nation of Israel, bringing them to the place where the Messiah would come, they would crucify Him, and then the tribulation—Daniel's 70th week—was to come, and Christ would return and set up His Kingdom. But Israel rejected it; as Dorothy always says, they blew it.
