What is the wilderness in Revelation 12:6?

The wilderness in Revelation 12:6 is the mountains Jesus spoke of—a place prepared by God where the woman, Israel, flees at the midpoint of the tribulation. There the Godhead feeds her for 1260 days, or three and a half years.

Les explains that the woman in Revelation 12 symbolizes the nation of Israel, and the man-child is the Christ child. After leaping from His birth to His kingdom rule and ascension, verse 6 leaps back to the midpoint of the tribulation. The woman flees into the wilderness, which is the mountains Jesus spoke of. There she has a place prepared of God, and the Godhead feeds her for 1260 days, or three and a half years. In verse 13 the dragon, cast into the earth, persecutes the woman, again identified as Israel.

Revelation 12:6
