What are the seven eyes of the Lamb in Revelation 5?

The seven eyes of the Lamb are the seven spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth. Scripture identifies them as the seven attributes of the Spirit. They picture the fullness of the Spirit's presence and activity, extending throughout the whole earth on behalf of the Lamb who takes the scroll.

Les teaches that these seven eyes are not literal eyes but are the seven attributes of the Spirit, and that the seven eyes are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. In the flow of the passage, the Lamb is also called the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus the Christ, and He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. Les anticipates that a question will come up about where the idea of a mortgage comes from, and why something has to be paid off. To answer that, he goes all the way back to Genesis chapter 1, where Adam was created and given God's instructions in Genesis 1 verse 28 — God blessed them, Adam and Eve, and said, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion. Adam was to have ruled over the creation under God, with total dominion, as God's second in command. But when Adam sinned, he lost that role of having dominion — he dropped the ball — and Satan picked it up.

Revelation 5:6

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
