When will God set up the kingdom in Daniel 2:44?

Daniel 2:44 indicates God will set up His kingdom in the days of those kings—after the ten-nation Western European confederation headed by the Antichrist has run its seven-year course. The God of heaven then establishes an indestructible kingdom, which Scripture identifies as the thousand-year millennial rule.

Les explains that the phrase “in the days of these kings” refers to the ten nations of Western Europe, headed up by the Antichrist, after they have run their seven-year course. At that point, the God of heaven sets up the kingdom—the same earthly kingdom discussed throughout Scripture, one that will never be destroyed. Revelation adds a time element, showing it lasts a thousand years, called the millennium. Les notes that this thousand-year rule will eventually end through the providential acts of a sovereign God and great turmoil, but when the new heaven and new earth come, they will reflect the same circumstances seen during the thousand years.
