What happened to the image after the stone struck it?
The stone struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, causing it to tip over. The stone then rolled over the entire image, crushing the iron, clay, brass, silver, and gold into pieces. They became like chaff, powder, and dust, which the wind carried away, leaving no place for them.
Les teaches that the stone cut out without hands, representing Christ, smote the image upon its feet of iron and clay. Because the image was top-heavy, it tipped right over, and the stone literally rolled over all the metals like a steamroller building a highway. It broke them to pieces, crushing them. The stone moved on up over the iron aspect of the legs, then the brass, silver, and gold. They became like chaff, powder, and dust, so the wind carried them away and no place was found for them. The stone that destroyed the image then became a great mountain, which in Scripture symbolizes a kingdom.
