Whom did Paul meet with when he went up to Jerusalem in Galatians 2?

Paul went up to Jerusalem accompanied by Barnabas and Titus, as Galatians 2:1 states. There he met with the believing Jews at Jerusalem—the assembly or church—specifically those described as the “wheels” of Judaism, to communicate the gospel he preached among the Gentiles.

Les explains that this scene occurs about twenty-two years after Pentecost, when Paul and Barnabas were called back to Jerusalem and challenged for taking the gospel to Gentiles. Paul writes that fourteen years after the events of Galatians 1, he went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas and Titus. He went by revelation, meaning God revealed to him the necessity of going. His purpose was to meet the “wheels” of Judaism and the believing Jews—those who believed Jesus was the Christ—the assembly or church at Jerusalem, and to communicate the gospel he preached among the Gentiles. Les notes that the prophetic program had been interrupted.

Galatians 2:2

And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
