Where were the grace-age truths kept before Paul revealed them?
The grace-age truths were kept secret and hidden in the mind of God. They were not revealed through the Old Testament writers, who did not see the church age. The Holy Spirit first had Paul disclose that these truths had been concealed in God’s mind until the gospel of grace came.
Les explains that when Paul comes on the scene with the gospel of grace, the first thing the Holy Spirit has him reveal is that all these things Paul teaches were kept secret, hid in the mind of God. All the grace-age truths that believers now are so aware of were kept secret in the mind of God. The Old Testament writers wrote concerning a continuous flow of history until Christ would return and set up His kingdom, but they did not see the church age. Otherwise, it would not have been a secret kept in the mind of God.
