How have the dispersed Jewish people remained identifiable after almost 2,700 years?

Despite nearly 2,700 years of dispersion among all the nations, the Jewish people have remained identifiable as Jews. They are still a distinct people. God brings them back to the land as Jews, and though they cannot name their tribe, God knows their tribal origins.

Les explains that Israel has been in one sort of dispersion or another for almost 2,700 years, scattered out among all the nations of the world, yet they are still Jew. Even when God brings them back to the land, whether out of Russia or wherever, they are Jews. Though they themselves cannot tell what tribe they came from, God knows. In the tribulation setting, the 144,000 are sealed from all the tribes of the children of Israel, showing all tribes represented—not two tribes, and not the rest lost.
