What happens to the 144,000 Jews as a result of the two witnesses' preaching?
As a result of the two witnesses' preaching to Israel, 144,000 Jews are set aside and sealed, representing all the tribes of the children of Israel. This occurs shortly after the seven-year tribulation begins, and they are specifically identified as Jews, not members of any cult.
Les teaches that when the tribulation begins, God's two witnesses appear in Jerusalem and preach to the nation of Israel. Out of that preaching, the first thing that happens is the setting aside or sealing of these 144,000 Jews. They are sealed from all the tribes of the children of Israel, not just two tribes, and all are represented. Though dispersed among the nations for almost 2,700 years, they remain Jews, and God knows their tribal origin even if they do not.
