What evidence did James Michener find about Jews being scattered around the world?

In the foreword to The Source, James Michener reported that his research uncovered Jews in every culture around the globe, including the Eskimos. This evidence matched the prophecy that the Jewish people would be scattered from one end of the earth to the other.

Les explains that the prophecy was written almost 1500 B.C., and about 3,500 years later it has come to pass to the exact word: 'he shall scatter thee among the people, from the one end of the earth even to the other.' He recalls Michener's foreword to The Source, noting that Michener was thorough in research and usually lived in an area before writing. As Michener researched Jewish families, he found evidence of Jews in every culture around the globe, including the Eskimos, which surprised the teacher. This aligns with the worldwide scattering. The following verses also describe no ease, no rest for the sole of the foot, a trembling heart, failing eyes, and sorrow of mind.
