Why have the Jewish people suffered so much persecution, including the Holocaust?

Jewish persecution, including the Holocaust, is attributed to Israel’s sin—their disobedience and rejection of the love and mercy of Jehovah God. That rejection brought curses: they became an astonishment, a proverb, a byword, and a slur word among the nations. Satan also attacks God’s chosen people, yet they remain responsible for their actions.

Les teaches that the rabbi on the Jerusalem Post-linked talk show said the Jews had been under adversarial attack, including the Holocaust, because of their sin; angry Israelites flooded the phone lines denying it. Les insists it has everything to do with it. He acknowledges Satan is doing everything to thwart God’s work and therefore attacks God’s chosen people, but he also stresses that they are responsible for their actions. In the curses, God says if they are disobedient they become an astonishment, a proverb, a byword, a slur word—something people use against them that they would not use on anyone else. This happens in almost every nation on earth and is because they rejected the love and mercy of their Jehovah God.
