How are all Middle Eastern nations related to Abraham?
All Middle Eastern nations are relatives descended from Terah, Abraham, and Abraham's two brothers. This includes Lot's sons Moab and Ammon, Ishmael, and Esau's line. Though related to Abraham, they fall outside the covenant promises given through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, making them enemies of God's covenant people.
Les teaches that these are all relatives. He explains that all Middle Eastern nations come out of Terah and Abraham and his two brothers. From those three brothers came Lot, and Lot had Moab, the Moabites, and the Ammonites. On the other side of the genealogy are Ishmael, Abraham's son, and Esau, Jacob's son—all those not in the direct line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They are relatives, but they are outside the covenant promises, and consequently they are enemies of God's covenant people. Les also notes that Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing, and though Esau recuperated and lived many years, that did not take the hatred out of Esau's heart.
