What will happen to everyone who has lived and died when God calls?
When God calls, everyone who has lived and died will come forth from the grave. Scripture shows two resurrections: the resurrection of the just, meaning believers, and the resurrection of the lost. The lost will be raised out of hell, brought before the great white throne, and then go to the lake of fire.
Les teaches from John 5:28 that Jesus, speaking during His earthly ministry, said everyone who has lived and died will at some future point come forth when God calls. He explains there are two resurrections: the resurrection of the just, which is believers, and the resurrection of the lost. Many people think that when a person dies and goes to hell, that is the end, but Les says it is not. The lost will one day be resurrected out of hell and brought before the great white throne; from there they go to the lake of fire. Les also notes there is a major difference between hell and the lake of fire. In this teaching, however, he focuses on the first resurrection, the resurrection of the just.
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
