Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens to a believer's sins when they are justified?

When a believer is justified, their sins are forgiven, covered under the blood of Christ, and completely removed. God buries them in the deepest sea, removes them as far as east from west, and they will never be held against them or come back to plague them.

Les explains that when a believer is justified, their sins are forgiven and under the blood. Christ took care of it, so they will never have to stand before Him with sin on their back. Les warns against thinking trials come because of unconfessed sin; if you are a child of God, that sin is gone. He shares the old preacher's illustration that sins are buried in the deepest sea with a sign over them, 'No fishing.' God has removed them as far as east from west, never to come back and plague us. This justification is free, by God's grace through redemption—buying back what was lost when Adam sinned.
