Les Feldick Bible Study

What happened when pigskin was put on human burn patients?

Thin layers of pigskin were placed over human burns and appeared to breathe and interact well with human physiology, enhancing healing. However, the benefit was temporary: after just a few days the pigskin cells died and sloughed off, showing that cross-species tissue could not survive long.

Les explains that for burn patients, the best therapy at one time was to cover the burn with pigskin. Thin layers of pigskin could be placed on a human burn patient because the pigskin would breathe and react so well with human physiology that it enhanced the healing process. But this was not long-term: after just a few days those cells died and sloughed off. He uses this to show that while cells from one species may survive in another for a little while, they never do so for long, because God said everything reproduces after its own kind. The evolutionist says this proves common origin, but Les says it instead shows one master mind in creation, with similarities pointing to the same Creator rather than evolution.
