What did the Lord say to Paul at his conversion about the Gentiles?

At Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus, the Lord told him He would send him far hence to the Gentiles. This commission marked God's turning from Israel to the heathen or Gentile world, and Paul received the gospel by revelation of Jesus Christ, not from men.

Les explains that after Israel rejected and crucified their Messiah, God immediately turned through the Apostle Paul to the heathen or Gentile. At Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus, when the Lord spoke to him, He said, "I'm going to send you far hence to the Gentiles." Paul did not immediately go back to Jerusalem to check in with Peter and the twelve; instead the Lord sent him the opposite direction down into Sinai and Arabia. Evidently for three years the Lord laid on him a whole revelation of things never hinted at in Scripture. This gospel preached by Paul was not after man, not received of man, not taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les emphasizes that all the way through the Old Testament, the Gospels, and early Acts, the term Body of Christ is never seen until Paul.
