Does the Old Testament ever speak of Israel going to heaven?
No, the Old Testament never speaks of the nation of Israel going to heaven. All promises God makes to Israel are earthly, and when they die or enter the covenant promise, it is always on the earth. Their hope is an earthly kingdom.
Les explains that all the way up through the Old Testament, God never speaks of the nation of Israel going to heaven. Their promises are earthly, not heavenly. When they die or when the nation becomes a full participant in the covenant promise, it is always on the earth. All the promises God makes to Israel are earthly promises. Even when Christ begins to minister to Israel, it is the same: Jesus does not tell them to prepare for the glory land, but for the coming earthly Kingdom where their Messiah will be King.
