Do we still see the influence of the Medo-Persian empire today?

Yes, many attributes of the Medo-Persian empire remain with us today. However, they are not as evident as the influences of the Babylonian or Greek empires. The context notes that Medo-Persian attributes are still present, though less prominent than those two.

Les teaches that after Babylon, the Medes and Persians arose, and many of their attributes are still with us today. He explains, however, that these Medo-Persian influences are not as evident as those of the Babylonian or Greek empires. Babylon originated banking, business, and usury, while Greek culture was integrated by Rome because it was profitable. The revived Roman Empire, which will be contemporary with Christ's Second Coming, contains the remains of all previous empires, including Medo-Persia.
