What do first and second Thessalonians point us forward to?

First and Second Thessalonians point forward to glory: the church being caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and after the church’s departure, the wicked one being revealed, culminating in the fruition of everything when we are finally in glory with our Crucified, Resurrected, and Ascended Lord.

Les explains that First and Second Thessalonians, though earlier letters, are final in content and follow the format of doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. He says they take believers to a higher plane than the prison epistles because they point upward to glory. First Thessalonians 4 describes being caught up to meet Him in the air and ever being with the Lord. Second Thessalonians 2 describes that after the departure of the church, the wicked one will be revealed. Les teaches these letters lead to the fruition of everything, when we will finally be in glory with our Crucified, Resurrected, and Ascended Lord.
