Who arranged the New Testament books in the order we have them?

The New Testament books were arranged in their present order by the men who met approximately 350 A.D. to put the canon of Scripture together. Under the Holy Spirit's control, they formulated the New Testament, and the Pauline epistles especially appear in the same order in every available copy.

Les explains that the order of the New Testament books is not chronological, but the Holy Spirit put them exactly as they were supposed to be when men of God put the New Testament together. He notes that in various ancient copies, the books are sometimes in different order—even the four Gospels or the epistles of Peter and John may be mixed up. However, every one of Paul's epistles is always in every available copy of the New Testament, and they are always in the same order we have today. This shows the Holy Spirit was in total control when the men who met approximately 350 A.D. put the canon of Scripture together and formulated our New Testament. Les adds that God has particularly brooded over these Pauline epistles because they are the ones appropriate for us today.
