Les Feldick Bible Study

Did Paul intentionally write seven letters to the Church to match God's perfect number?

No. Paul did not contrive seven Church Epistles to match God’s perfect number. He wrote his letters as circumstances made them appropriate, and it simply fell out that seven were written for the Church. The pattern was not the product of deliberate numerical design by Paul.

Les explains that there are seven of Paul’s Epistles written to the Church, called the Church Epistles. He asks whether Paul sat and tried to divide things so he would come up with the number 7, God’s perfect number, and answers no. Paul simply wrote those letters as it was appropriate, and it just fell out that there were seven written for the Church. Les uses this to show how beautifully the Bible fits together, programmed so no human could have dreamed it up.
